Hey everyone. It's Saturday evening 11:30pm and I am wrapped up for the evening. My son needs his sleep as he is 11 and still growing. I enjoy letting him play Valheim with us, but he still needs his sleep, and I need to still be a father. We spawned into the map and located a decent location and began creating our first home.
There are three of us playing so we decided to build a communal compound and combine our work and materials for the benefit of the group. We used the go to method of trenching a barrier around our compound. Occasionally we have Troll Spawns for Black Forest but that's part of it. As we get stronger these become less of an issue.
We all battled the Deer God of the Forest and now have the usual raids. Which to me is like Dash door delivery in game. Check out our Hog Farm slash Carrot Garden. Dual purpose use of our compound seems to work out for us. While our pigs are no stars, we are on the lookout for 1- and 2-star boars to eventually lure into our farm.
Now we are preparing and have prepared for the Elder. So, stay tuned for the Elder Battle in our next episode of Family Valheim.
My son, who is 11 asked me the other day if I would buy him Valheim on his steam account. He had watched me play with a close group of friends for quite a while. With the Christmas gift of a new PC my son stepped into the world of computer gaming and hasn't looked back. His steam account already contains over a dozen titles and when he isn't restricted from his electronics for various not to be listed violations, he can often be found (Friday & Saturday evening only) lost somewhere in Valheim with myself and one of my longtime friends. I want to add some of our adventures here in the group to start it off and I hope if you find your way here eventually you will add some of your own.
Valheim is wonderful game with beautiful scenery, exciting and sometimes scary moments. My son's name is Aidan and thus begins the tale of Aidan and his Viking adventures in Valheim.(stock photo for effect)
